Recount on the first day of Japanese Course --- 19th post

29/4/09

There isn't much to type about today, so instead, i will type about what happen my first Japanese lesson yesterday :p.

Well, we really had an authentic Japanese teacher (well since she is a Japanese). She introduced herself as Maiko (Ishii). Wondered what was the first thing she gave us? Well here it is,

As you can see, it's a Japanese leaflet, majority of the class was stunned. We had thought that we need to read/understand/discuss (or any adj. you deem fit) the leaflet. Luckily, that was not true (at least not for that lesson). After almost everyone came, Maiko-sensei started taking attendance. What surprise me was that as she called our names, she wrote our names in japanese (in katagana) and we are to remember it so that we can "write our name" on future assignments. *yay, luckily, my name was not hard to write :p* (another person whose name was Alexandra had a hard time i guess, :p)

My name and Esther's name

Should you were wondering if Maiko-Sensei spoke in what language, well she speaks in English which might be a little hard to understand at times, but otherwise, it is still understandable. BUT, she said that she will be speaking in pure Japanese after the second lesson !_! (i wonder if we can understand her at that time ~.~)

After that, she taught us some basic greetings, and some common jobs names. (which i will not go into details in this post).
So, do we have homework in this Japanese course? YES, we do, something like 习字 where you had to write Japanese words and also a chart where you have to memorise the basic Japanese "ABC". (which is like sooooooooooooooo hard) In addition, we have a quiz on every week ~.~ (not including the first week)

Alright that's about it for this post, below are two photos of the notes I took down in class yesterday.

PS: My hand phone camera went bonkers again, ARGH! Hope it recovers tomorrow... want to take photos of my brother's birthday.

Just a normal day --- 17th post

As the title suggest, nothing really intriguing or interesting happened today, but since i have a little time, i will just post a little.

One of the funnier event that happened today was that during lecture, Rick fell asleep (or was half-asleep). We found out and then Li Khong took something tiny (i don't know what it is, but it's harmless) and threw it at Rick to wake him up *hahaha*. Supposedly, that struck Rick on his cheek (or somewhere near), and the only reaction he gave was sort of like a shrug as he scratch his face. It was so comical and totally hilarious that i was laughing around 3mins after that.

After school, i SMSed Hazel to see if she has been released yet, but since i only received her reply like 30minutes later, i went ahead and went home first, to my surprise, i met Jing Han at Dover MRT station and thus we travelled home together.

That's about it for this normal day, tomorrow, i will be having my first Japanese lesson so perhaps there might be something more interesting to type about, so until then. However, i highly doubt that i will blog about it tomorrow since the Japanese lesson ends about 7.30pm... =.='''

Alright till then...

PS: Is Restaurant City that FUN?
I added even more animes pictures at the cloumn LOL,

The Mysterious Flying Pocky Incident --- 16th post

24/4/09
Ok, i will not type more about the usual lectures and all that squeezing in the MRT and the likes of that in this post (and will probably not do so in the future in this blog unless something especially interesting, unique, special or whatever happens)
The Pocky incident all begun at around 10am to 11am. After an hour of tutorial, our lecturer decided to let us have a 15min break. All the other classmate have left the classroom and this is when the Flying Pockys were observed...
First, a single chocolate-flavoured pocky stick were sighted gravitating down from the sixth storey of T21 and was headed mercilessly at a person (accidentally) on the first floor. *crack*, perhaps the Mysterious Stick missed him or perhaps it struck his shirt but anyway i supposed he looked up, but probably sees no one.

disclaimer: this photo was taken from the web
A while later, another chocolate-flavoured pocky stick was seen, flying down again from the sixth storey, this time at a faster speed which eventually land i don't know where. After investigation, there were two suspects.

Suspect no. 1 Suspect no.2
And this ends the report on the Mysterious Flying Pocky Incident... ...
(pls dun kill me after reading it T_T)

23/4/09 --- 15th post

23/04/09

Today's lessons starts at 9am, so i can sleep in slightly later, however, that just resulted in me seeing a rather unsightly scene in the MRT which i will not go into further details...

The lectures is pretty much like the usual ones so i will just fast forward to around 3pm when school ends for today.

Ok today is Rick's Birthday (Happy Birthday to you~!). So umm... the girls (i think Bernice and her gang) bought a birthday cake for him and we all also wrote birthday wishes for him on his shirt :p (though the snip the sleeves off LOL)

After having a little slice of the cake (some of it somehow got on Rick's face :p), our group went to *skip* and then to moberly where they play pool and i slack a while and do some accounting practises.

Then Jasmine called me, and joined us in moberly followed by Marcus and then Yan Qian. Whom all left halfway (leaving their bags behind and asking me to take care of it) because of i don't know what. *tick-tock tick-tock* they continue playing and i continue looking at the notes, at some point when weican taught me.

At around 6pm, Xin Ying, Weican, Li Khong and Li Qin left. I stayed before because i thought Jasmine and her gang was leaving soon and we can take the red line (MRT) together (since my group all dun stay around there -.- )

Who would have thought that after jasmine and her group returns they didn't want to return home *YET* -.- it's like so late already in the end i had to go back on my own, and somehow i went the wrong way that time and end up walking to food court one... and finally after a long time back to dover and where the expected squeezing began......... and finally i'am back home...

Below (after the PS) are some photo either i kope or took :p i guess it's the post with the most photos so far ;p

PS: Woah it's already 10.30pm , broke my record this week for blog posting time (msn a lot :p)

22/4/09 --- 14th post

22/4/09

Nothing especially exceptional happened in classes today, so i will just go straight into today's Peer-to-Peer buddy programme.

Many of us were already thinking of skipping the whole programme but was hesitant to do so because of various reasons. Anyway, if not for that programme, we could have gone home at 2pm.

(My phone's camera went bonkers (AGAIN) today so i didn't take any photos.)

So, what did we do in that programme? First, everyone (or rather the DHRMP students) gathered in MLT8 at 3pm. Next, we were shown an opening video, followed by a little introduction and finally an facetious skit (which were put up by the hardworking facilitators). Next, we proceed on to a "bonding" session which i don't really find THAT useful as all we did was just to play a "good-morning" (in which case was afternoon) game.

After that, we formed a chain (by holding on to each other's bag) and started another game where we had to walk around SB (School of Business) and answering questions/performing some tasks in order to get clues to where we are supposed to go next. (it was pretty chaotic then, Xin Ying even stepped on a small pool of cement and had to wash her slippers) --- lucky for Li Khong who had already left due to some urgent matters :p

I wouldn't say that today's session was a complete boring one but, it really wasn't as beneficial nor as interesting as i had previously imagine it to be. Perhaps that is partly due to the reason that everyone is tired from lesson today.

Oh and i forget to mention earlier, somehow, our class (DHRMP 02) managed to win the "race" and got first i was quite surprised. Anyone wants to guess what is the prize? it is 2 packs of snacks which we eventually shared among the class :p

Alright, there is nothing much more to type for today so till next time.

PS: sorry if i didn't replied anyone in the tagboard, so sorry.

2nd day of school --- UTTERLY TIRING DAY! --- 13th post

21/4/09

As the title says, it was a an extremely tiring day as of why, it's not because of todays' lesson but of another matter which i will type later on. (if i haven't faint from fatigue lol)

First, i will briefly (which probably will be not) type about what happen in the first half of the day. First, i met with Hazel and Shuet Jing at Khatib. Nothing especially special happen here, except that we purposely skip one train so that we can get a direct train to Dover (yahoo!).

Then, we parted ways as i got to wait for my friends (Weican was there already, in case he complains that i don't give him credit that he was early... =.='). After everyone arrived we proceed QUICKLY to the classroom. Somehow, maybe 阴差阳错 we were not late!

and the tutorial went on... 2 hours ticked by (rather quickly for me) and we had 3 hours break. (it's long i know) we did a many things though. First, we had lunch, i ate Teriyaki Chicken Rice (which is not as toothsome as what i had imagine it to be...)

Next, we decided to go to Moberly to uh.. "play pool" (which i don't know how to). Unfortunately the pool tables were fully booked. So i suggested we go to the library to play laptops *hahaha*

So we went to the library, abandon some seats (as it was too quiet that it was eerie) and found another "more comfortable" place. Then, Xin Ying flashed out her handphone and snapped some photos, so i decided to follow suit and below (and above) are some photos i took...

(Weican and Xin Ying) (Rick)

Two hours flew pass (i admit it's a little exaggerated). Then we proceed to our next tutorial, which is about POA (principles Of Accounts). This tutorial went on quite smoothly, though i was sitting at the back row that time ( in which case, not sitting with my usual group)

So i didn't talk much in that tutorial (by the way, i wasn't angry, don't know why people were asking me that)

Soon enough it was time for the next tutorial, don't know who told us it was T2263 when it was T2269... so we entered the wrong room and wondered if we were the first to arrive. =.= then i went out to check the room number and found out it was the wrong room! so we rushed to T2269 and luckily, the lecturer was not there yet...

I will just talk a bit about this lecturer because he was so humorous, first, he introduced a little of his umm... life to us like where he studied, work as what and so on. Which was like completely irrelevant to what he is going to teach which is Psychology. (as he was not just introducing his job but details of his job too, like what time he work, his pay etc.) But anyway, i wasn't thrown off by his introduction as he was humorous like i typed earlier and i believed none found him boring too. (which i believe is a good start :p)

Next he went on talking a little about our modules, course and overview of what we are going to learn.

and at 4pm, he said we can leave now, so everyone was thinking "umm.. wasn't the lesson supposed to end at 5pm?" and he said that it's ok, he release us early. (well i guess no one really mind, since it's the first lesson)

Alright, so lessons end and every1 left, I told my group to leave too since i was supposed to be meeting Esther to pay for the Japanese class together. And hence the utterly tiring experience commences.

First we met at T21 outside the foreign language centre and we were informed we were supposed to pay at the financial centre (which at that point of time we don't know where) so Esther went to buy her books with he friends first while i wait for her below the hill.

5..10..20 and 30 minutes passed. She was still not here -.-' and i realise that she wants to meet at popular, so i went to popular... and we begun our search for the finance centre which we found out was at foodcourt 2 (oh my gosh). so we went pretty near to foodcourt 2 and we met her sister who told us that finance centre closes at 5pm... (it was already 5.30 then) so her sister kindly offers to help me hand in the cheque tomorrow and also suggested that we write our names outside the foreign language room (at T21) to book the slots in case it is taken. ALSO, after paying we still need to fill in an application form (which we don't have yet, since we haven't pay) So we strutted our way back to T21, wrote our name to book the slots and finally make our way to Dover MRT station...

If you think this ridiculously-long post is over, it isn't! So we arrived at Dover MRT station, when the train arrived, it was so packed that we couldn't squeeze in, hence we board the second train. Then we alighted at Jurong East, where we had to board another train to reach Khatib. However, the first train was again too packed so we had to wait for the next one. (as i am typing this, i am wondering if singapore's population is too low is true...)

After waiting for a bit the next train arrived, but it was announced that it were to be terminated at Yew Tee. So we had to wait for THE NEXT train, which we finally managed to get in and somehow Esther got a seat :p.

Finally, we reached Khatib, and it was like 7.30pm =.= after dinner and everything it was 8.30pm++ and here i am typing this post...

Tomorrow is the peer-to-peer day, i guess there will be much things to write so, till tomorrow...

PS: Too tired to read others blog, will do so tomorrow if there is time :p

20/4/09 --- *official first day of school* --- 12th post

20/4/09

Ok it is the "official" first day of school. I guess it is a hectic day, first, when i reach SP, i was supposed to go to MLT 8 (main lecture theatre 8). But i couldn't find MLT 8 -.-''' i found MLT 9 instead, then i look beside it there was no MLT 8! onli MLT 9 =.=. So i was like "oh my gosh where is MLT 8?!"
After searching for like 8-10mins, I found Riz and two of us couldn't find MLT 8 too! After which, we met a group of people who were ALSO searching for MLT 8, so finally we found MLT 8 which was not beside MLT 9 but instead something like opposite to MLT 9... (i guess i wouldn't forget where MLT8 is for a long time...)

And so we proceed on to our first lecture, where i learn the meaning of scarcity, microeconomics and macroeconomics :p (sonds so "chim") and of course we were also introduced to the basic concepts of buisness.

After the first lecture for the day, we were supposed to be scheduled for a lesson, but then somehow our class couldn't find the designated classroom... (the other class also couldn't find too) and so it was concluded that that classroom was non-existent =.= and we were informed that the lesson was cancelled... (i wonder who got the information though)

so we went on to have our lunch break which i will skip it since nothing especially interesting happen except for the fact that we found out that the "bread with soup" taste horrible (thanks to Li Khong)

Next we separated into smaller groups within our class and went to buy books, etc. When it was time, we were to go to room T2263. Which we spent like 15mins looking for it. In the end, our group (Xin Ying, Li Qin, Weican, Li Khong and I) was the last few to enter the room...
Although the lecturer said since it's the first time, it was ok, i think she did noticed our names... our attendance was marked with a blue pen unlike the others who were marked with black pen. (I hope we are not blacklisted T_T and i wish i will never be late again. Since i myself hate being late and latecomers)

... 2 hours finally passed and it was the end of the tutorial, we went to get our ez-link card and buy some books. I called Hazel to meet up and go home together --- then our group start to joke about it -.-. So i just said yes to everything since i'am like so tired to refute them ~.~. Then somehow, shuet jing, Geraldine and Ronald also "appeared" at the MRT station so we all went home together.

and then here i am typing this long post (yeah again... please don't blame me). Ok, i will end this post here... till next time

PS: I am too tired to add any photo for this post. zzz
Also, i know that Li Qin name is spelt as Li Qin and not Li Qing, (lol) and it's too troublesome
to edit all the post so sorry for the misunderstanding :p

17/4/09 --- 11th post

17/4/09

It's Friday and today, we don't have school! Yahoo! Anyway, nothing much happen today except that i went to create my bank account. My father and I travelled Yishun interchange in order to close our joint account and open my account.

We took a bus there and reach in about 10-15minutes. There were tons of people in POSB bank when we arrived. I got the queue number 18, surprisingly, we only waited for about 15minutes before our turn arrived. (to be truthful, we only had to wait for two customer as people creating new accounts were assigned to a separate counter. :p hahaha)

(my new bank book)

What was funny was that i went to the wrong counter, when my number was called, i was so "pai seh" (embarrass) haha. Anyway things went on *rather* smoothly except for the fact that when i had to confirm my signature as i signed two different one, hahaha! and i had to sign thrice =,=.

(my POSB card)

After that, we went to the food court and ate desert. below is a picture of what i had.

(腐竹白果汤)
It wasn't very sweet so i liked it, although it's a little to the bland side, i still consider it pretty delectable.
After that, we bought something as supper for my brother and then we board the bus home. (which was quite a bumpy ride that time, =.= i felt dizzy then)
Alright till next time...

Flag day --- 16/4/09 -- 10th post

16/4/09

Wooooo, it's finally the flag day. (i'am just trying to sound excited about it) Anyway, it is 7.28pm now. My legs are sore and eyes tired. It is a long day. Our designated place was at Khatib MRT station. I guess i was preety lucky to be assigned to this place as i live in Khatib *laughs*. Seems like my classmates are lived quite far away from here and are apparently pretty upset that they have to wake up so early to reach khatib at 7am.

I reached Khatib at 7am and guess who was late? Our facilitator! Sebastian was late for like 10 minutes haha. It was said that whoever was late had to pay a fine of $2 per minute, however that was a joke and brushed aside hahaha.

So in the end we started our collection at about 7.30am. (which was uh.. 30 minutes later than the assigned time, but oh well never mind) We splitted in smaller group. First i was with Rick, Li Khong, Weican near the market square just outside Sheng Siong. I guess Khatib is an relatively small and the whole of khatib was literally flooded with students from SP (Singapore Polytechnic)

After around 45 minutes, Li Khong and I find that there is too much of SP students here and so we walked further till we are near the Community Centre. There, although the crowd was lesser, most of the people haven't donated to others yet, therefore, i think we got a slightly more donation there.

After which, we returned to the square and then we were called to MacDonald's where we had our lunch break. Some of the classmate ate the set meals but i wasn't hungry so i just watch them eat and joke around with my friends hahaha.
(a photo of my assigned tin i took in MacDonald, while nobody was looking? :p)

In MacDonald, i lift Xiao Guang tin and notice that it was so heavy! I am so IMPRESSED haha.
Next, i went to OPSS (Orchid Park Secondary School) --- my formal secondary school to uhh.. visit my teachers, however it was lesson time and i guess they are all not free as i didn't see much teacher. After *wasting* around 30mins there, i went back to find Weican and Li Khong, (in which case, the weight of their tins had already increased by leaps and bounds!) so i decided to *choing* and i stood outside Sheng Siong supermarket again and ask *relentlessly* for donations hahaha.

Finally at about 1pm, Rick called me and our group proceed to the MRT station where we travel back to dover =.= to count the money! <-- so bo liao!

Anyway, we went to to classroom to count how much we collected. Here is the amount i collected today for the president challenge, $31.11 ( ok, it's not a large sum, i think i could have get more if i didn't went to OPSS, but i can't blame that on anybody...) Li Khong, Xin Ying and Weican all got close to $50 ( like 40++) and i was like so *roll eyes* but to comfort myself, i got more than Li Qing, *shhhh...* hahaha

(the amount i collected for President Challenge today)

After all the counting and recounting, we went to buy the notes which is needed on Monday and then took MRT home, as nobody lives in Khatib in my class and Hazel was meeting her SB campers friend, while Jasmine and Esther went to the party, I had to travel home alone for today T_T.

Anyway, i guess school officially starts on Monday, and i hope everything goes on smoothly. ^^

PS: Today flag day was more fun than i had imagined and less boring then i had expected :p

15/4/09 --- 9th post

15/4/09

Today was the third day of the FOP, my class arranged to meet at Clementi to have lunch. Guess what? I misculculated the time needed to travel there and i reached Clemeti half an hour eariler! (I have taken a picture of my watch to show the time --- Kudos to my first photo in my blog!)

Alright, i guess the next question you are going to ask me is what did i do in the half an hour. Well, nothing much really, i llistened to the MP3 (Music Player) and played games (Snakes and Cannon Marble) on my handphones, it's lame i know some of you might say, but surprising, thirty minutes flew by quite quickly. :p

Afterwhich, we went to Botak Jones to have our lunch. Oh, i forgot to mention eariler, i also get to know another classmate by the name of Li Khong. We didn't talk much at first but soon we started getting to know each other. After that, we went to MLT 11 where the director and lecturer gave their speech.

What caught me by surprise was that we had to do a skit on the title "what does HRM (human resource management) means to you" *laughs* i believed we did one of the funniest skit among the whole cluster. We tried to show a contrast between a staff before being trained and after being trained. The skit was totally hilliarous and everyone was laughing. However, during the prize presentation for the skit our class was only awarded the consolation prize... T_T (console us...)

After which, we met another new classmate whoose name i believe is Riz and after saying hi to him we left and i met up with Esther (who accompanied me to take the foreign language form), Jasmine, Yan Qian and Marcus. I had dinner then, and finally left and went home, and now i'am writing this post :p.

I just remebered, tomorrow we had to do flag day, i hope it goes smoothly... >.> i guess i will make a post about how the flag day goes tomorrow. Until then...

Outing With SB campers (Bogle) --- 8th post

14/4/09

Today there was an outing organised for Bogle! *YAY* (Thanks to Kenglim who spent much effort, SMSes and Calls, sorry for your phone bills >.<) Firstly, i want to apologise to all those who went today, that at first i wasn't really interested in this outing. However, I changed my mind later on. The outing was really fun, we talked a lot, complained a lot (about almost everything under the sun, ok i am exaggerating) but anyway we (at least I) had FUN.

Yes, although the movie wasn't that nice (majority agrees), by the way, we watched Fast and Furious 4, i had a great time just gathering and chit-chatting. Hahaha it was also an eye-opener to see how Jia Yin smuggle in a set meal of Long John Silver.

I just want to thank all those who came today for the outing, Kenglim (Organiser), Xian Ren, Jia Yin, Melinda, Andy, Zhen Xuan (Matthew) -- i hope i spelt it correctly, Tang Jie, Michelle, Gary. I hope you all enjoyed today's outing as much as i do, and i also wish we can get together sometimes too, although i know everyone is busy.

PS: i didn't take any photos today, anyone has photo can kindly send me so i can post it?
I also want to apologise to Hazel, Sorry can't meet you today because of this outing.

14/4/09 --- 7th post

14/4/09

Today is the second day of the FOP, i expected it to be a dull and boring day, but it was more fun than i had thought. We did quite a lot of things, first, it was the run-of-the-mill principal speech followed by the hilliarious director speech. Next, we proceed to our station games. The station games were much easier, relaxing than what i had in my mind. We went to three statioin in total. The first game was the "get in the box" where the game master will ask for how many "body parts" to be in the sqaure. My class accomplised the whole task fairly quickly. Next was "catch the flag" (the game is quite difficult and complicated to be explained so i will just skip it) next was the infamous spider-web where we had to transport teammates through "webs" created by strings. All three games went very smoothly and were enjoyable ^^.

Afterwhich, we went on to cheer wars, and some interaction games between both our own class and with the whole school of buisness (including the facilitators). Overall, today's FOP was preety enjoyable and i learnt even more of my classmates names. Let me list some (sorry if i spelt ur name wrongly or did not list your name >.<) Priya (Chairwoman), Bernice (Treasurer), Joanna, Xin Ying, Shi Min, Wei Wei, Nadia, Sharina, Weican, Xiao Guang, Bi Zhew, Suxann, Rick (Chairman),Man Wei, Cheng yee, Li Qin

PS: I want to post a class photo does anyone have a class photo so that i can post it?

Complaints On Desert --- 6th post

THE BAD SERVICE DESERT!

(this is not the first photo in my blog as it is added later)

13/4/07

After the FOP, i met up with my friend Jasmine, Esther, Sin Yee and Marcus who joined us later. Anyway the main point of this post is what i am going to type soon.

I decided to buy a bowl of desert at foodcourt *, and i was shocked by the attitude of the shopkeeper. Below is a summary of what happened.
i ordered a bowl of dessert, and the young shopkeeper misunderstood or misheard what i said or perhaps he was not sure of how make the desert, hence, he went and ask the older shopkeeper (who seemed to be the boss). The boss then ask me (in a loud tone) "你到到底要什么?!" (what do you really want?!) her tone was so overbearing and filled with anger (which i don't know why). The point i want to make is that such attitude is totally unbecoming of a person working in the service industry! I'am also fairly sure that i will not buy from that store again, at least not for a long while.

PS: i did not state the foodcourt number nor the name of the dessert as i did not want to get into trouble.

13/4/09 --- 5th post

13/4/09

Oh yeah, the day for the FOP (Freshmen Orientation Camp) has finally arrived. Hmm... nothing special happen today anyway, just some usual introduction to the school of buisness and ice-breaking games. Luckily, i find that my new classmates are all quite easy-going, and i'am quite thankful, however, it is still only the first day i hope such good feelings continue throughout my years of poly ^^V

PS: I just realised that it is not FOC but FOP and it is too troublesome to change the previous posts so sorry for the misunderstanding. ^^

Thoughts and describtion of CSCC camp --- Part 2 (4th post)

Thoughts and describtion of CSCC camp --- Part 2

This is a continuation of the CSSC camp post, where was I? oh, ok, after we ate and cleaned up, we were told to bring one day clothing and pack it into a smaller bag. I didn't thought that we were going to stay overnight outside of SP at that time. And so we Board a bus and *Trot Trot Trot* and after about an hour, we reached our destination (if you were to asked me where, i'am sorry i have no idea---i am horrible at remebering places T.T)

After that, we did our usual camp stuffs (eg. briefing, going to bunks,...) and the afternoon activities COMMENCES!~ Sorry i couldn't remeber excatly all activities we did so as usual (like Post 1) i will list some of the more "memorable" ones.

One of which was that all the boys/males have to take off their clothes, spectacles and kneel down. The girls/females will then "wash the boys" hair with shampoo, the objective was to collect as much foam as possible from the "showering" and so the girls will scrub and rub while the boys collect the foam and place them in a basket. I still remebered that i was wearing contact lens at that time, thus i was so worried of the foam getting into my eyes. In the end, i managed to avoid most of the foam from invading my eye, but a little stilll managed to enter my eye and my right eye stings at that time. *ouch*
After all that, the Gls come up with some nonsense like sharing body heat and the boys have to carry the girls and walk in a circle while singing blah-blah blacksheep >.< (i realise the post is very long and hence i will just briefly talk about the walk)
First, we were blind-folded and were to walk through obstacles while both hands holding on to the partner infront of you. (my partner behind me was like gripping me so tightly and it hurts!)
While walking, the GLs will spray water, tickle, trip or do anything to disturb us T_T. Afterwhich everyone is seprated and have to get into our own groups by learning to talk like animals (eg. Meow, Moo, Po-Po-Gek) and then we were led to another sttion (still blind-folded) and the Gls hand us some powder and came up with somemore nonsense which ask us to pour the powder over our head -.-'''. Next, we were led back to the briefing place and the Gls fed us some food which includes chocolate bread, Wasabi, chilli bread, sour plum, mint choco, and others. (still blind-folded)

The activity finally end at around 0200 and everyone was relieved. We bathed quickly to get rid of the powder (in my group's case) and mud (in some group case) and went to sleep.

Ok i'll leave the rest of the post till next time...

PS: i know this post is still long, i'am sorry, i'am trying hard summurise the CSCC camp post already >.<>

12/4/09 --- 2nd diary post (3rd post)

12/4/09

Alright, it's just one more day to the FOC... strangely, I am not as nervous nor as excited as compared to yesterday. why? i don't know, but i am sure such things happen to all of us sometime ^^ (ok, I am 100 percent sure to be truthful).

Anyway, here is a plan for tomorrow, i got to bring my labtop (first time bringing it to SP after i bought it), wear shoes or sandals due to certain activities which are going to be held (curiosity grows). I'am meeting some of my friends (Jasmine,Esther,... and maybe others too not sure) at the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) tomorrow too.

So i guess i am finally going to meet my DHRMP (Diploma in Human Resource Management and Psychology) course-mates? I sure hope that they are easy-going and friendly...

Hmm... i guess there is not much more to report/type, so i will just stop typing here for today's diary.

Thoughts and describtion of CSCC camp --- Part 1 (2nd post)

11/4/09

CSSC camp---part 1

On 27th to 30th (4 days 3 night) i went for the CSCC ( Community Service and Cultural Club) camp. Haha, if you know me well, the first question you will want to ask me is "Why did you join the camp? I thought you don't like such things?" Yeah, well the maybe you are right, i don't especially enjoy camps or activities like that, but since a lot of my friends are also signing up, i tagged along, i thought to myself that it was a good oppourtinity to be aquintainted with more people in SP too.

The first day of the camp was quite tiring. First we gathered in SP (Singapore Polytechnic) and played some ice-breaking games. When all the campers had arrived, we were splitted into groups. For a moment, i thought that so many of my friends came to this camp, surely most of us will be in the same group, yet after the groups were divided, i found out that onli Sin Yee and Yan Qian were in my group. Inintally i had thought that it was just coincidence or some would call it "suai" but i found out there were other *external factors* which i will disclose later in this post :p

We were introduced to our GL (Group Leaders) whom we refered to as our Mother and Father or Papa and Mummy. My Pa and Ma are Chong Ming and Jing Wen. Yes, they are both very caring and helpful throughout the whole camp. ^^ (so lucky~!)

And thus we begun the Long, fun-filled, exciting, exhuasting and bone-breaking camp! The first activity of the camp was to create a flag for our team, by the way, my team is Banshee ^^, (i'am mighty proud to be a member of Banshee, just for your info). Yes, you might think that making a camp flag? No big deal, easy like a piece of cake. Well if you think that is true you are in for a harsh time *evil smile*
The teams were not given all the materials needed to make the flag directly, we have to "request" for the materials from the GP (Game Personales). The GPs will ask us to perform in any manner you can think of before "granting" us the materials. If i were to list out all the "performances" we did, it would make this long post even longer so i will skip it and instead just list some of the few more "memorable" ones. One of which is to sit in a straight line, male and females alternating and then lie down on each other stomache and finally taking a picture. Although it might not sound hard (actually it is not) it is quite embarassing =.='. Another which is also quite unforgettable is that while painting the flag, music is played. If you were thinking that the GLs were so kind as to let us listen to the music while painting, you are terribely wrong. When the music stops, our hands, feet, the whole body has to stop to, no campers are to move if not we will receive "BattleScars"-- the GLs will paint us >.< . If you think that is all, it isn't ! The Gls will try all means to make you laugh in order to brush the slimy, sticky paintbrush on you.

After that arduous task, we went to wash our hands ( or in the case of others, places that were painted--- including legs, body or wherever) and have our meals.

Alright this post is long enough already I'll leave the rest of the post till next time ^^.

PS: I didn't bring my camera along so i didn't take any pictures, but i know friends who did, so i have to see if i can get my hands on those pictures before i can post it. Wish me luck!

11/4/09 --- 1st post

11/4/09

OK, this should be considered the first official post in my new blog ( this blog :p ). Hmm... what should i type?

Oh well, anyway, it's two more days before my FOC (freshmen orientation camp) If someone were to ask me about my feelings towards it, i am one-third excited, one-third nervous and one-third dread. Why? Excited because i will probably meet many new people which leads to more friends, more fun ^^V. Nervous because i am not sure who is in my course (Human Resource Management with Psychology), what are their personalities, their likes and dislikes. Not forgetting the dread part, the reason is quite simple really, as there will likely be more philosophy, much more things to study EXTENSIVELY and countless project work. However, i will remain optimisitic as I am fairly sure that this Polytechnic journey will be an enjoyable one :)

PS: I will try to avoid typing in short-forms in this blog so as to not make it into a bad habit ^^
